About Us

Promoting Unity, Education and Charity

"Righteousness does not consist in whether you face towards the east or the west. The righteous man is he who believes in Allah and the last day, in the Angels and the Book and the Prophets; who for the love of Allah gives his wealth to his kinsfolk, to the orphans, to the needy, to the wayfarers and to the beggars, and for the redemption of captives; who attends to his prayers and pays the alms tax; who is true to his promises and steadfast in trial and adversity and in times of war. Such are the true believers; such are the God fearing." (Holy Qur'an, 2:177).

Based in Central Florida and with volunteers across the nation, UMF has been quietly serving people in need through community service. The United Muslim Foundation has been a part of many events helping people in need from serving at soup kitchens to conducting patries for the homeless, from donating food and clothes to schools and charity festivals to running in marathons to collect funds for the American Cancer Society.  UMF Volunteers can tally up their community service hours as recognized by Seminole County School Board, Bright Futures and UMF's own Scholarship Program.

UMF encourages all Muslims to be active in their local communities by working together to help in any way they can to give back to society. By practicing charity and reaching out to the communities they live in, non-Muslims get a chance to see Islam’s message in action, contradicting the negative images portrayed in the media about Muslims.
