Muslim Teen Counseling

Muslim Teen Counseling

O people, enlightenment has come to you herein from your Lord, and healing for anything that troubles your hearts, and guidance, and mercy for the believers.”

- Holy Qur'an, 10:57

For the past 15 years, TeenCentral.Net has provided a safe, fully‐online helpline under the guidance of experts in Psychology and Teen Counseling. United Muslim Foundation has partnered with TeenCentral.Net to create an Interfaith Street and Virtual Mosque with trained Muslim volunteer counselors available to respond to Muslim teen posts within 24hrs.

Practical Living: Trained Muslim volunteer counselors commit to providing relatable advice and reply to teen concerns, encouraging introspection, promoting intra-faith and interfaith and building communication.

Virtual Interfaith: Our Interfaith Street on TeenCentral.Net features a Church, a Mosque, a Temple and Synagogue to provide teens with an opportunity to learn about different faiths and the similarities that unite us as Global Citizens.

Virtual Intra‐faith: Our Virtual Mosque features both Shia and Sunni faith traditions. Virtually, praying side‐by‐side, Muslim teens are encouraged to learn about the similarities that unite us as Muslims.

Judgment‐Free Dialogue: Designed to encourage introspection, TeenCentral.Net provides an anonymous, judgement-free, safe place to work out concerns within your own time, while receiving feedback in 24 hours.

Get Involved!

If you are a Muslim college student (especially studying Psychology, Social Work, etc), please consider becoming a volunteer counselor for the Muslim Teen Portal on TeenCentral.Net. Volunteer counselors commit two hours per week (on a day of their choice), to log in and respond to teen stories. If you are interested in learning more about this volunteer (internship/service hours) opportunity, please e-mail [email protected] and click here to complete all 5 sections of training.
