UMF Muslim Portal

UMF Muslim Portal Philosophy

O people, enlightenment has come to you herein from your Lord, and healing for anything that troubles your hearts, and guidance, and mercy for the believers.”

- Holy Qur'an, 10:57

Coming Spring 2013

Ever wish you could write to "Dear Abby” columns and get good Islamic advice? Wish you had an older sibling to ask questions and seek advice? Ever wish there was one place to find good resources to talk to?

United Muslim Foundation has the answer… UMF Muslim Portal on TeenCentral.Net

United Muslim Foundation has partnered with KidsPeace to launch a Muslim Portal on TeenCentral.Net. TeenCentral.Net is an anonymous helpline designed for teens to counsel other teens, under the guidance of experts in Psychology and Teen Counseling. TeenCentral.Net encourages teens to use the helpline to find their own answers and work it out!

UMF Muslim Portal on TeenCentral.Net will allow for Muslim teens to post their concerns and be counseled by their peers who understand the challenges of growing up as a Muslim. Counselor responses are reviewed by a Muslim Administrator who couples Islamic values with psychology principles to provide timely, appropriate answers that fit the needs of youths!

We intend for this free helpline to help teens introspect to find their own answers, promote interfaith and encourage dialogue between parents, teens and religious leaders.

Bonus Resource: The Muslim Portal will feature a contact list of Muslim professionals and Muslim organizations that can be contacted for additional help. These UMF Affiliates are resources that have the appropriate licenses, insurances and knowledge to guide our Muslim teens to solutions that work best in their individual situations.
