United Muslim Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and public charity in the United States.
Since 2004, United Muslim Foundation (UMF) has brought together Muslims of diverse backgrounds through community service and community development projects. Through networking and community up-liftment projects, UMF has developed programs that build upon our guiding principles of unity, education and community service. While extending solidarity to learning centers, groups and individuals who wish to positively contribute to society, UMF works to improve the perception of Muslims and empowers Muslims to make a greater difference.

Co-Founder & Chairperson
Masuma Virji co-founded United Muslim Foundation in 2003, while completing a degree in Education and Biology at the University of Central Florida. Masuma's passion lies in Promoting Unity among Muslims, Clarifying Misconceptions about Islam, Establishing Projects to help Local Needy and Empowering the Youth. Masuma has served as Executive Committee Member of CAIR FL, Chair of her local School Advisory Committee, Islamic School Principal and Teacher, and as the Director of several Education and Community Service initiatives. Masuma has been invited as a Guest Speaker at a number of Universities and Interfaith events and has appeared and been interviewed on US and UK News channels and Radio stations. Masuma is the recipient of the CAIR Excellence in Community Service Award, ICNA Helping Hand Community Service Recognition Award and EMERGE USA Community Service Award

Naushad Virji earned a degree in business administration from the University of Florida and then went on to successfully complete his series 65 NASD examination to become a registered investment advisor. Naushad is the CEO of ShariaPortfolio Inc., a boutique money management firm specializing in Sharia-compliant investment solutions for the Muslim community. With an interest in activism and community service, Naushad co-founded the United Muslim Foundation, where he currently serves as Treasurer on the board of directors. Naushad is also on the advisory board of Advance Law, a Washington D.C. based legal consulting firm that works with some of the largest companies in the world to help them retain quality law firms that have been carefully vetted to provide superior value. Naushad has also served on the board of Mercy USA as Treasurer and dedicates himself to several philanthropic efforts.

Zainab Alidina has been running United Muslim Foundation's Hungerteam, serving needy children and their families in Seminole County since 2009. Professionally employed as a travel agent, Zainab believes in compassion as a necessary tool towards her end goal of helping to end world hunger. She is passionate about taking care of the less fortunate and works closely with the homeless and hungry and with local schools identifying the needs of families at a grass roots level. Zainab liaison's UMF Hungerteam with state and city non-profits, charitable and religious organizations, businesses and restaurants to help get food, clothes, school supplies and basic necessities to the needy.

Saadia A. Munawar is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a PhD in Trans-cultural Counseling and M.A. in Mental Health Counseling.
She has 10 years of counseling experience with Specialty in the field of mental health counseling and therapy. She provides counseling for an array of mental health disorders namely depression, anxiety, couples/marital concerns, anger management, career counseling, family counseling and Training students and other mental health professionals. Active in the community with United Muslim Foundation as a Board Member and Muslim Women's Organization, she advocates the need for mental health services and dedicated to eradicating mental health taboos within the Muslim population.

Asif Alidina graduated from Stonybrook University in Long Island, NY with a Major in Finance and a Minor in International Studies (2007). As a former NYC Investment Banker turned entrepreneur, he founded Exam Transport & Co. in 2010; a biopharma logistics and transportation company catering to temperature-controlled life science packages and hazardous surface & air freight. Asif is a motorcycle rider and enthusiast - with a passion for carpentry and supporting grassroots efforts for uplifting hard-hit communities. Born and raised in Queens, NY, Asif holds close to his heart his own trying beginnings and life-hurdles with those that he serves. He finds it a privilege to serve local communities in Central Florida as a part of the Board of the United Muslim Foundation.

Sally Hassanali is a certified PYP International Baccalaureate teacher who earned a double Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Computer Resources & Information Management. She has served on the Executive Board of the Trinidad & Tobago Association of Psychologists and enjoyed being an international teacher in the American, British, Canadian, and Caribbean systems in the United States, United Arab Emirates and Trinidad. She has worked as a counselor in private practice and assisted in various organizations to bring relief to those in need. Her passion is the development of the arts and music since this is one of the commonalities in all cultures and religions. It is her hope that Muslims from every creed and race will form strong ties as we are all united by our love for one God.

Farha Fazel is a Graduate of Cedar Crest College, in Pennsylvania. Farha co-founded UMF's Muslim Teen Portal on TeenCentral.Net in 2012 bringing it to launch in 2013. Being a proponent of diversity and cultural awareness has provided Farha will the skills necessary to orchestrate programs that promote Unity, Education and Community Service. As a Youth Leader with many years of volunteer service, Farha has practical experience empowering youths to understand the importance of engagement and dialogue. Farha has served as a panelist on Youth Engagement at the Chaplain's Conference held at Yale University and been interviewed by the Express Times.
